    / What is a scenario? 

    A scenario is a plausible future at a set point in time, say 2030. We combine some of the most important (world) trends with a high impact on the organizations' contextual environment. We imagine, understand and experience what that world would look like. We stretch the thinking to encompass different points of view. 

    Scenarios always come in sets. Some trends are highly unpredictable and therefore will result in more scenarios. Scenarios are used to explore plausible futures of an organization. Understanding plausible scenarios gives a boost to the quality of today's decisions.

    / What is a trend? 

    A trend is a development in the larger environment that the organization operates in. Trends are out of control and therefore a given for the organization. Trends are often regional or global. Examples of trends are digitalization, individualization, pollution, trade barriers, public health awareness and protection of consumer privacy. Studio Futures works with a framework of over 100 trends that are customized to fit the clients future questions.

    / Why is leading team dynamics important?

    Strategic Agility asks for a mindset where 'the edges of the possible' are continually being stretched. More than ever, a call will be upon outperforming, multidisciplinary teams. 

    However, working in dynamic teams with diverse perspectives often brings tension. Teams cannot afford to lose time on irrelevant issues in innovation processes. Effectively leading team dynamics and behavior is, therefore, critical to success.

    We work with MindSonar to 'get to the point' and to focus on the next steps to accelerate the teams behavior and performance.

     

    MindSonar is a psychological self-assessment and focuses on one's mental model in a certain context. It measures how people think and what they find important. Because how one thinks, is influencing one's behavior to a great extent. We learn teams how to activate different mental models to lead team performance.
